Let me add this: If this were a retro XLCR kind of thing, and it looked like the orginal, I'd buy one. Knowing it would be plagued with first model year problems. And I'd be willing to pay too much.

I'll be Carnack Heavy, under powered compared to anything from Japan or Germany, under sprung and HDs finishing touch, not competitively priced with anything that beats it like a drum.

I'd wait to fix the daughter's car until she has more experience. No sense in doing it twice. As for the other car, I'd pay out of pocket and have it fixed right.
