    Mobil 1 0w40 - 2016 F150 5.0 Supercharged - 5,250 miles

Hello, Today we have another UOA from my 2016 Ford F150 with the 5.0 Coyote V8. This vehicle has a Roush supercharger, which has been modified with an upgraded fuel system (pump/injectors) and several other go fast goodies. This vehicle is a work in progress, and as such the parts list that is...

    Funny moment of the day.....

The 6.2 is a tough unit, I bought a retired oil field techs truck with a 154,000 miles and almost 12k hours on it, and it ran great with good power. The drive line was torched, it needed front u-joints and bearings/hubs, along with rear axle seals. It was starting to develop a rear main seal...

    Amsoil SS 5w30, Supercharged Ford F150 5.0, 6000 miles

Hello, this is the second analysis of my 2016 Ford F150 5.0 V8 with a Roush Supercharger. This run occured between October 2018 and April 2019, and was just a little under 6,000 miles. This is a pleasure vehicle, and operates 80/20 highway to city, with frequent 1/4th mile drag runs and during...

    2016 F150 5.0 (Supercharged) Amsoil SS 5w-30 + MOS2

Hello, figured I'd post this UOA on my 2016 Ford F150 5.0 with a Roush supercharger. During this run I was using Amsoil SS 5w-30 with 10oz of Liqui-Moly MOS2. This run consisted of approximately 4000 miles of hard street driving (approx 6 months), several 1/4th miles runs, over the road engine...

15 Ford Explorer v6 oil advice

There is no secret, this engine is very robust and can last a long time on any oil. My company runs a fleet of explorers that are pounded on day in and day out with many over 150,000 miles now, all on bulk 5w-30 changed every 5000. There are many thousands of idle hours to go along with the...

Oil Catch Can on 2009 Caddy CTS-V (See it working)

OP, great thread! Please ignore the haters and the ignorant, your video was great to watch. I empty about 1-2 ounces of fluid out of my trucks catch can every 1000 miles. That's fluid I don't need coating my heat exchanger, pooling in my manifold, or lowering the octane of my air/fuel charge...

    Scotty Kilmer: Don't use MMO!

I gave up reading this after page 4, but here are my two cents. I had a Scion FR-S. They are notorious for cricket chirping noises from the direct injectors. I used MMO with every fill up, approximately 4 ounces. I significantly reduced the chirping from the injectors. If I went a couple tanks...

    Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ

Its a 2700lb car with 12" rotors and twin piston calipers. It has plenty of braking, even for track duty. OEM pads are not suitable for track use, but with the right pads, the brake system is plenty adequate. With good tires it'll stop from 60mph to 0 in about 106ft, which is pretty good for a...

    Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ

Anyone had the chance to drive one? Anyone own one? I've been on the market to replace my aging Focus, and I've driven all sorts of vehicles. I had settled on a used 2011 Mustang GT or 2010 Comaro SS, but by chance I got the opportunity to take a drive in a Scion FR-S. Turned out to be a...

    Best handling econobox car ever?

My 2003 Focus ZX3 was a great handling little car, especially after I replaced the stock springs and struts/shocks with those off an SVT Focus. The new Focus handles well, but its increased mass dampens a tiny bit of the fun. The new Focus ST is an excellent handling car. But in that price...

    Best handling econobox car ever?

Scion FR-S / Subaru BRZ twins. I wouldn't consider them compact cars, apart from their size, but the fun to drive aspect is off the scale. Noise, handling, etc etc, they are a blast.

    Sig 226 Navy?

Don't have a 226 Navy, but a standard 226. I can't stand the stock Sig grips, so I went with the E2 grips, and it makes all the difference. Mine is in .40S&W, and is a nice pistol. I still prefer my gen 4 Glock, but everyone has different taste.
