Best New Mix - Size SUV ?

Sure, you can have both: Lexus, and of course, Acura. But they come a bit higher priced. No need to gamble with German kit...glad yours was ok...many are not.

Best New Mix - Size SUV ?

Toyota makes the best cars for the middle and lower classes, as well as for adults managing their lives and protecting their retirement funds. Family cars need to offer utility, reliability, and economy...that's how the most responsible live. My cars don't need to pretend to perform like...

Best New Mix - Size SUV ?

Hey, if you want to hate me because I don't buy the least dependable products like you do, that's fine with me. My loyalties are to the best products at the time I purchase. My next vehicle could be a Honda, or Mazda...or another Toyota. Go for quality!

New Dodge Hornets selling well below MSRP- worth consideration??

Yes, I have, and although they were boring to drive, they were not junk, because they were reliable.

New Dodge Hornets selling well below MSRP- worth consideration??

I don't have to drive the latest model... it's "heritage", and bad reputation precedes it. I prefer to buy from companies with excellent reputation. It's a Fiat, for heaven's sake, right?

Supertech and other value point oils

Pour a few ounces of your oil into a glass, and swirl it around...hold the glass up to a light, and examine its "legs" on the side of the glass, and consider its bouquet of aromas...only then will you know it's good oil...

    How to drive CVT

This is not true, at least regarding Toyota hybrid models, present to going back 10 years. Being "steady on the throttle" defeats the hybrid system's task of eeking out the best mileage, and it can prevent the computer from giving you the best MPG. And no, the cutting in and out of the gas...

    How to drive CVT

How one drives a Toyota hybrid eCVT certainly does matter. I've owned 4 Priuses, and now a 2021 Rav4 hybrid, and between these I've logged over 250k miles. How one drives such cars can produce very, very different MPG. The best way to eek out the highest MPG is counter-intuitive, and...

1 Week Review - 2025 Toyota Tacoma Hybrid Limited

The gas-hybrid-gas transition differences are insignificant...Toyota's e-CVT is far, far better than Honda's CVT. Honda kit is fantastic, but #2.

    Small SUV needed; advice?

I don't understand what highway miles have to do with it. Our Rav4 Hybrid does at least 15% better than its gas-only counterpart in highway MPG. The EPA sticker says they're very close, but I've found that its easier to eek out better MPG with a hybrid than with a gas-only. This adds up. And...

New Dodge Hornets selling well below MSRP- worth consideration??

The Hornet goes back to the 1960s...and in Europe, you can drive a "Hornet", but it has a different badge... it's junky. Have you driven one, ever?

    200k report 2018 Tiguan

Perhaps the Germans are better at maintaining their cars. However, their cars deserve their bad rap in America, because if what you say is true, that Americans are not as on top of their maintenance as Germans, then Japanese cars should have a bad rap, too. But they don't. The Japanese...

    200k report 2018 Tiguan

It sounds like your wife made several emotional decisions...my father was the same way with Chrysler products...every one of them was unreliable, but he kept buying them...he refused to look at Japanese makes...said they bribed Consumer Reports, and bribed dealers into selling them. LOL

New Dodge Hornets selling well below MSRP- worth consideration??

I've driven prior model years, and those who ignore history will suffer from it...the history of Chrysler, Dodge, Ram, Jeep, Fiat, Alpha Romeo, and their ilk is pretty bad, among the worst, so what makes you think that a rebadged Fiat is going to be a good car? Reputation matters...

Best New Mix - Size SUV ?

Your responses are petty, silly, and say more about you than Toyota. Sure, Toyota has had a bad run of news regarding a few models, and engines, but their overall catalog of vehicles is the envy of all it's competitors...the sales numbers prove this.
