Great looking filter, thanks for the C&P!

I’ve never had a 2014 plus LS engine. So I can’t speak on that later design. But I had 3 2007-2013 generation GM Trucks. And all of them had piston slap at start up. That was with synthetic oil and Wix filters at the time.

LS engines are noisy anyway on start up, that piston slap can drive ya nuts lol. So I can understand that would make them sound worse with a dry start.

I ordered 2 of these for my Ram with the Amazon deal. The picture they used was a green can and a black o-ring gasket. What showed up was a black can and red o-ring. Great deal for less than $7 each! Should’ve ordered more, but it only gets spring/fall oil changes. So it would take me forever to...

Great looking filter! Thanks for the C&P! Interesting that they use a nitrile adbv on a premium filter. Though I will admit in almost 25 years of changing oil I’ve only had an adbv “fail” once. And that was about 10 years ago on a NAPA Silver.

I’ve got one on the old Buick now. We’ll see how it hold up after 5k, with that efficiency these might be my go to filter for it. Can’t beat a $2 filter that looks as good as that.

Awesome sir as always! Do we happen to know what the efficiency is on the basic Prime Guards? I’m sure they aren’t as good as their premium versions.

2018 Husqvarna YTH 22v46. 22 hp B&S w/ 46 inch deck. Has 240 hours on it. Oil changed every season along with grease points, plugs and filters every 2 years. Has needed nothing so far except a new battery this year. The front hub seals are starting to seep so I’ll probably change those out...

Looks good, the oils doesn’t look bad either for 10k. My OCD would never allow me to run an OCI that long, I’d have a stroke 😂 Thank you sir for the C&P!

The STP XL has the silicone ADBV and is 99% @ 20 microns. Thanks for the C&P!!

Guess at that point you’d have to choose a shop that lets you supply your own filter. It was causing his to throw a light on the dash.

My brother has the same vehicle and it did not like the filter from Valvoline instant oil change. But I think the filter they use is smaller than the OEM if I’m not mistaken.

I was just about to order a couple STP XL’s this week for my Ram. Amazon has these for a couple bucks cheaper so I think this is a no brainer!

Appreciate the advice! I’ve got a couple more of the B&S filters left from a pack I bought a few years ago. Once I’m done with those I’ll for sure move to a larger filter. How much oil if any does yours use during a season with the 15w-40?

Her Jeep gets pretty much all highway. Her commute is about 17 miles each way. Bi-weekly trips to the grocery store which is about 30 minutes all highway. We live in an extremely rural area. So its country roads and highways everywhere we go.
