Just an update: A neighbor has decided to chop up wood and brings it in the house for my B.I.L. He is now good to go.

Went to Xfinity store today and they would have kept me at the same rate for a two year lock. I decided to switch to Metronet 1 gig which will be about 68.00 a month total. Also getting free installation, one month free, free router and a 100.00 Visa gift card.

I don't worry about upload speed.

Curious as to what speed most here are using and who they go thru. Currently I have Xfinity 500 mps. Rates are going up so I am probably going to switch to Metronet fiber 1 gig or maybe try T-Mobile 5g again.

Yes, that isn't a lot of miles and use for it to work yet I would think.

He used to have an aid at first but he is basically self reliant now and stubborn. As stated in another post he has balance issues and often falls.

Propane is about 2.00 a gallon around here.

Well he can burn wood but getting it and constantly bringing it in the house is an issue due to bad mobility/balance.

He is on disability. Was in a car crash and got brain injury. Doesn't get around well.

My Brother in law has a house and limited income. He can't afford the propane for his furnace so he suffers thru winter using portable heaters. Wondering if a diesel heater like these would be a good option. Thoughts? Do you have one yourself?

Got it changed today. 37 degrees out. Been worse. Yes cement was cold and wet but it went well. I like to change oil pretty much right at 5,000 mile intervals to keep it simple to remember. That often necessitates changing in cold/rougher weather.

Well so far so good. They are relatively quiet, ride good, and since we just got snow they appear to work adequately in the snow.

Yes, will be keeping an eye on condensation over winter. This was checked before Michigan winter set in.

Installed on our 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe with 2.0 Turbo. About 1,000 miles of use when the contents were checked. I figure about an ounce was collected. Smelled heavy of fuel.
