my yougest son (26) has about six thousand hot wheels. some of them were mine when i was a kid. we have the red baron and many of the originals. we have many doubles and most unopened.
it does it in 3rd gear too. new plugs and wires and no codes. once you get over about 60 it seemd to go away. happens when you put a load on it about 45 to 55.
anyone ever feel this in their car ? mine is surgeing right at about 45mph or when the torque converter comes in, i think. car runs good and i've tried another maf sensor and other known good sensors on the car. i'm thinking maybe torque converter lockup solnoid. thoughts ?
all of the people i've talked to said to get it at the full mark hot and then add 1 pint to 1/2 quart. i was wantint to what would be the benefit to this. i really don't see any, but these guys were trans builders.
several trans rebuilders here in the st.louis mo. area have told me they run GM vehicals about pint to half a quart over the full level an the dip stick. why would anyone do this ? even two guys a know fairly well told me the same thing. must be a reason of some kind for it.
i have been thinking of buying a lisle 56150 flaring tool or the eastwood on car flaring tool for 3/16. opinions or thoughts on either of these ? the lisle tool does more, but i wonder how good either works.
how are you guys removing the filter seal on GM truck and cars ? that little seal that goes up into the trans case is tough. i know how i do it, but was wondering if there is a better way ?
dexcool and all the other long life antifreezes have the same stuff in them. i had to show the guy at advance auto this. now advance has stopped putting the ingredences on the jug. there really was no problem with dex cool. it was the [censored] gaskets that GM was using that was the real...
