anyone using this in their oil? we have has two cam shafts in a 67 427 and a cam go bad in a 63 caddy . very low miles on them. the engine builder claims soft metal in the cams. two comp. cam and one isky. we've been using mobil 1 15-50 with the ZDDP additive and still going flat. what's up ...

i shot Mobil an e-mail and now who ever anwser it is saying to use Dex VI. sounds like it depends on who you ask on which to use, even Mobil keeps going back and forth. i thnik i'll just go with the DexVI as my son can get it at cost though the dealership. hope i don't regret it.

after reading all this i had my son who works at a local chevy dealer ask some of the techs there what the recommend. they all said to use the dex VI. don't know what i'll end up putting in there. i'm leaning towards the mobil syn.

before changeing the oil again, run some seafoam though it. could be a lifter making noise.

any real world testing on these fluids ?

does anyone know where the petcock is located on a 99 suburban ? maybe some pic's of anyone has them. i sure can't find it anywhere.
