I use either Techron or Gumout Regane before an oil change. Is one better than the other? I'm not sure if this test is showing Techron (at 100 drops to change color) means it's good or bad?

OT but related....the Motorcraft 910 filters for my MZR engined Fords was $3.97 at Walmart just 2 years ago....it's approx. doubled in price. I also remember when Motorcraft syn-blend 5w20 was a screaming deal at WM....that's no longer the case either. I don't buy either their filters or oil...

The 6607 is basically a shortened 7317.....you won't have a problem. What vehicle are you running the 6607 on?

I also have a few 4967 sized filters for my 2008 Corolla and have also 'pondered' whether I could use them on my Focus. The gasket on the 4967 sized filters seems to be on the edge of the baseplate so I won't chance finding out if they'll leak...OTOH I wouldn't be nearly as concerned running...

PEAK 10X had no 2eha when it first came out but the recent stuff does have it.

I think it was more like 80% TGMO 0w20 and 20% M1 0w40.

I wouldn't hesitate using NGK or Denso plugs in your Mazda....just make sure they aren't counterfeit by buying them from a reputable source (I think RA would be reputable but be careful using EBay). I installed Autolite Iridium plugs in my in-laws Mazda CX-5 about 50k ago and it's running fine.

If I bought a new Toyota that spec'd 0W16 I'd probably use Kirkland 0W20 since it's the 'thinnest' 0W20 out there (7.9 cSt @100*C IIRC), cheap and readily available. I'd do 5 to 7K OCIs depending on driving type (lower with city driving....higher with more highway miles). I bet that Toyota...

I have one of those Purolator synthetic oil filters (same size as that one...PSL10241). The DOM was 7/11/2013. It's been stored well and I plan on using it next on my Focus.

I bought a jug of Castrol EP 0w20 at Walmart for $25.97 on 'Rollback' last week.. It's the 25K OCI oil but I'd never go that far on any oil. I'll probably use it in the Mazda CX-30. It may not be a 'boutique' oil but it's a very good oil at a very good price IMO.
