Certainly on most. This thread is about oil filters for the 7.3PSD. I wonder how many participating here have actually used and/or cut apart these specific filters.

Thanks, For sure that oring is silicone. I cant see the inside seal in that picture. Seems you would see it if it was any color other than black. I will look at one next the time I am at a parts store.

I am not aware of a 7.3 filter that does not use rubber to seal the can to the media end cap. Please tell us about one using something else. Below are all the parts. No ADBV, the bypass is in the oil cooler cap. The rubber was still supple after 28 months.

The 7.3 does not have any thing but a muffler(maybe) after the turbo. No DPF/EGR/SCR/catalytic converter/regen ect.

Most E tires are 80. E wider than 285 are 65 psi.

35 is good enough to get it to a station and not melt your pump. Get a tool to remove the stem cores fully or it will take 5 minutes a tire to air down. Have a couple spares since you might lose one.

If you have a 1995a filter check the louvers good to see if they are open. They are not the no-brainer go to they used to be as 1995. I gave up on them due to poor quality. For a 2wd give the Donaldson P550371 a look, it is cheaper that the motorcraft. DBL7405 for 4wd.

Why are you changing them? Make sure you keep the originals so you can put them back on when those new ones fail.

I used Delo 400 from walmart when I had it. They sell it in a 2 pack of 6qt boxes so perfect for 2 changes. Sold that WJ after I got the 4.7 WJ.
