It is hard to tell what was in the pan. Like I said I do have a mid stream half quart sample. I’ll shake it up and pour some out and look at it under lighting. Would there be more glitter at the beginning middle or end of a hot drain?

I did cut open the 2nd filter, there was much smaller debris in it but didn't look fantastic to be honest, I can post pictures later. I do have a clean sample from the factory fill taken midstream that I could send off. Perhaps it would show very elevated levels of debris?

Did my first oil change on my new Rav4 at 2500 miles. Saved the filter to open it up when I had time. I opened it this past weekend and was not happy with what I found inside. There were 4 aluminum shards just under the size of a pencil eraser, some thinner peices that looked like fine nail...
