They really didn't do anything to improve goodman. Its still crap quality equipment. The sad thing is daikin has put their name tag on some goodman equipment. Actual daikin commercial equipment is good. Daikin residential equipment is just re labeled goodman equipment.

Stick with 5W30. MY brother just ran a 12k mile OCI in his F150 with the 5.0 running Amsoil signature series 5W30 and the oil analysis showed below average wear. No oil consumption either.
