Fram Ultra XG7317 I bought recently had burrs on outer inlet holes. I elected to cut it open to examine. No other obvious defects found. Bought another XG7317 which did not have any burrs, and I installed it on my most recent oil change.

Please do get the UOA on the FF Subaru oil coming out on this early change, and post it as soon as you get it! With such an early oil change, the UOA would reflect both early wear patterns on your engine, and what the true characteristics of the Subaru FF are. It is not necessarily the case...
