Post a photo of your oil on dipstick (with miles)

So do I - that's why I'm doing this long time experiment. According to conventional "wisdom", the motor should be long dead - but actually it's still running fine. And yeah, the filter has the same miles.

K&N Premium Filter is nothing more than a Supertech

Nah, I was talking about Project Farm. Looks like you already saw David's video on this.

K&N Premium Filter is nothing more than a Supertech

Well, there is quite a difference between intake pulses and a shop vac. As I said, only a few folks undersatnd ...

Tune up in a bottle, whats your favorite?

It's now called "GM/Delco Upper Engine and Fuel Injector Cleaner" That - or DSMO, which is quite a procedure and not for the faint of heart - is probably the best you can have. MMO consists of some Phosphor (anti wear), Potassium (buffer/weak detergent) and some Hydrocarbons like Naphthenic...

K&N Premium Filter is nothing more than a Supertech

Well -actually it was a guy with a shop vac and a some hoses, and he had the wrong test procedure, so his results where flawed. Only a few folks understand how K&N wet filters functioning totally different from regular dry filters.

Is there an official policy of posting vehicle images with license plates visible?

And they do the same thing, just by having public license plates on their vehicles in the first place.

    A Cautionary Tale

When I was in Japan, those are everywhere. Dressing up those little vans seems to be a big thing over there - I even saw one that was dressed up like a 57 Bell Air.

Is there an official policy of posting vehicle images with license plates visible?

Fuel Additives or Fuel Line Cleaners

I don't think that "clogged" fuel lines are even a thing - your filters would be clogged way before something like this happens. So, no wonder it does nothing. Small holes and passages in a carb though - yeah much more likely - but still, the filter should take care of any grime before it hits...

German public now favors extending life of Nuclear power plants

With "efficiency" I was talking about the fuel cost/output ratio.

The Sodium-Ion Battery Is Coming To Production Cars This Year -CleanTechnica

Wonder battery coming "next" year - I hear that since 30 years now. Well it never came. Remember Musk saying we are on Mars in 2022? Or we have full self driving cars next year in 2013? Well we are not on Mars, and 10 years later we still don't have full self driving cars. I'm always looking...

German public now favors extending life of Nuclear power plants

Keep in mind, that gas plants have a horrible efficiency, you need a lot of gas to make power. Especially since the LNG we import now, has less BTU than the Russian natural gas we used to have. As about 50% of all Germans, I heat my home with gas, and I can clearly see the difference. I need...

Motor oil and oil filter cost.

Well the problem with this is, since you have no "control group" car, driven the same amount of time and miles with the cheapest 15w-30 dino oil and 50,000 filter changes (if at all), you just don't know if there would be an difference. At this point (no offence) it's pretty much a believe...

Can you help me better understand why women want a SUV over a sedan?

For me personally it's all about space and comfort of what we used to call a "full size" car. An other point is - a SUV by definition is based on a truck with a real frame. Basically a Suburban. A unibody car is not a SUV - just saying, cause folks always get confused about this.

Can you help me better understand why women want a SUV over a sedan?

When I was a kid in the late 60s/early 70s, the essence of a US car - especially sedans - here in Germany was, that it is basically a living room you can drive around. It was all about comfort at cruising speed - nothing sporty about it. You could even have a huge sofa as front seats, cause -...

    Uncle Tony on oil filters.

The man usually knows, what he is talking about. Do you guys have any proof, that he is totally wrong? And I mean really proof - like in: a see through oil filter with a pressure gauge - not just saying so.
