LSJr- Do “Film Strength” Testers Tell The TRUTH?

Yes I was thinking pushrod v8 valvetrain. Solid rollers, pushrod cups, roller rocker needle rollers, valve stem tips... Especially with solid cams, double triple springs etc. These are forces you won't get in OHC engines.

    Discount oil in Oz.

Not unexpectedly they were sold out today. However instead I picked up GW Syn-X 5000 5W-40 API SP ACEA A3/B4. $47 MB229.5. TBN 11 etc. Happy to get such a high spec oil for this price.

Vinfast, what on earth are you doing - VF8 and VF9 test drive and failed attempt to lease a VF8

LOL you had the authentic Vietnamese experience, this is how they do things. My wife and inlaws are Vietnamese and I love them but for all their constant hustle and bustle they are inefficient and chaotic. Their language alone is crazy inefficient. Just asking a question like: 'I'm going to the...

    Discount oil in Oz.

Last time I was in my local they had one full side of an isle to auto. Good products as well. Not bad effort actually. Same kind of setup as they recently did with home cleaning products.

Would I be a fool to test drive this 2013 BMW?

Just get a Foxwell NT310 bidirectional scanner. Also this car would have the N20. If the OP wants to spend a bit more they should look for a later B48 model which is an immensely strong engine. But as others have said, if the chains been done then the n20 is generally fine. Get the MG Flasher...

Would I be a fool to test drive this 2013 BMW?

With BMW you must service exactly as they say. If the PO did all the servicing including timing chain and generally cared for the car you will be fine as long as you continue servicing by the book. If it's been treated like a 90's Civic it will punish you.

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

I had to move both cars this evening ahead of a storm. I drove the G30 with 2NH brake option then the f10 with std brakes. There was not a huge difference between them just driving normally. Both were good. Is everything up to scratch? No air in lines or bad pads, leaks,?

What about m5 coding? Is that floating around in there somewhere?

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

If you could do it probably BimmerCode in expert mode would be the way. I doubt though you will ever get a F10 to feel like a e90. The f10 is deliberately a very refined driving experience. If you want sportier go a G30.

    Brake bleeders

This is great! Looks like the Motive bleeder is the most popular?

    Brake bleeders

Now I have got bitten by the 'regular brake fluid flush' bug, I'm looking at a new bleeder. I currently have the little hand held vacuum pump which is great for sucking out reservoirs but get a bit fatiguing bleeding brakes. What are other people using? I don't have a shop compressor but I can...

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

It's the first I've heard of it as well. Bimmer Code or Bimmer Link would work?

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

I would double check, but front EP531 and rear EP518 look like the correct pad shapes. A set of SSy or SSS may only be about $150 - $200 shipped, maybe $250 for a set of MX72 or SSM+ if OP is so inclined. https://www.blackhawkjapan.com/search?page=1&q=2017+camry+endless Food for thought anyway.

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

I'm not sure if you have settled on new pads yet but you seem to be looking for a premium street performance solution with good pedal feel and modulation, low dust? Have you tried Endless? They make street performance pads which may be just the ticket, like the SSS...

Negative experience with EBC Ultimax2 Brake Pads

I may be able to help you with my own experience. My wife has a low mile F10 520 d M Sport, 2011 or 2012. It still had OE brakes when we got it which produced copious amounts of thick, sticky dust which could only be removed with a brush and MG wheel cleaner. one drive was enough to coat the...

Switching to Bendix Fleet Metlok Semi-Metallic pads!

I would check those two things out. Is there any leaks anywhere? with all new parts there may be a fitting which wasn't quite tightened up correctly. When I did rear brakes when I went back under there to replace diff oil I found one of the lines needed to be snugged up a little more. Are the...

    Gaming PC Advice

I agree. If I could get a 3060 much cheaper than a 4060 I would stay with a 3060 because they are pretty close anyway. Otherwise I would just get a 4060 or if you wanted something with a meaningful performance increase then a 3070 Ti or 4070. Any higher though cost seems to get prohibitive.
