LML Duramax charging at 15.3 volts

^^^Exactly. The variable charging setup on most GM vehicles will really pile on the volts when it's cold outside. Normal behavior. Expect it to drop like a rock when it heats up...

    Hot or Cold oil change?

Huge difference people. It's not for the draining or the flushing, you change oil hot for the engine's sake alone. A warmed engine has oil all over so when you restart you don't go dry. And since a significant amount of oil is still present in almost any engine after the draining why not get...

How Soon to Use Royal Purple?

Wow. Confirmation bias is strong here. RP is a good oil. RP is a relatively expensive oil. RP has also failed to prove that it is really any better than many other oils at far lower prices. Obviously it makes some folks feel better to use the oil of their choice. I say have at it. Use what you...

Any cat lovers here? Behavioural experts?

My 3 kids each had a cat as they grew up. One was a feral stray, the other two were from the local shelter. 3 separate litter boxes. I was ruthless about cleaning up, too. They were great low maintenance pets. The bottom line was the house smelled no matter what, even with deodorizers and...

Truck won't stay at operating temp

Yes. The fact that the Tstat is new does not guarantee success! But the infra red thermometer is a piece of cake, works well for this diagnosis.

    5000 miles in the 2017 3500HD

Hahaha, that's a good thing. I have towed a 33 foot monster all over with a 4WD LWB 09 DMax. Just single rear wheels though. I always felt the dual wheels kept the arse where it should be! Truck was under 7500 loaded but that trailer was 10k plus easy...

Possibly the worst OEM tires I've ever owned

Our RAM had the SR-A's or RS-A's, I can't be sure. We took them off early for EXACTLY this reason, very poor wet performance. I have 70k miles on our LTXMS2's and they are still good!

2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia - 1yr/17k mile Review

So incredibly egocentric to imagine that you somehow know someone else's position in life. I need no advice from anyone except a really wealthy person, and he's not driving anything Toyota. I don't rent/lease anything, and everything in my driveway is paid for in full except one of my work vans...
