Kreen experiment: '05 Mercury Mariner w/ oil consumption issue.

Kreen is old school and really works if your consumption issues are from carbon build up. A bit in the fuel cleans the cylinder head and the entire PCV system benefits as the vapors flash off when the engine heats up. I have used it with great success on a bunch of oil burners, it is an...

    Leaf springs last how long?

I have run service vans 200k plus miles on all original springs despite the fact they were about 9000 pounds every mile driven. Leaf springs do not break often in my experience. I even took them out of a truck I drove to shows to be re-arched to rake the body a bit. Just not a typical failure...

SRT part 3 - 2020 Grand Cherokee SRT

Wonderful choice indeed! It's a real thrill to custom order a brand new car, and even better if it's an SRT vehicle. I wonder if they still put "Specially built for..." on the window sticker? As stated earlier, it's quite an endorsement of the model, and I know you'll love it.

    2018 charger ?

14 Ram here, 90k miles, zero Uconnect issues. Actually love the system. Over the air updates are very cool stuff. Lots of awesome features IMO. This truck has got a battery, new tires, and brakes since new. GREAT reliability. My sig car is an 06 purchased new in August of 05 with just shy of...

    Hemi MDS jumper harness issues

^^^Hahaha! Almost fell out of my chair. Yep, 5 (or even a dozen) new gen Hemis get a wire harness and it's a monstrous failure problem. I wonder if anyone knows how many have been produced? Millions perhaps? My sig car (06 6.1 Hemi) has been bouncing off its 6600 rpm limiter for just shy of...

    Hemi MDS jumper harness issues

Great point for folks who have excessive faith in diagnostic devices. Many times it is simply a bad connection for whatever reason.

    Battery explosion

Ouch! Had this happen on an old TR-4 I owned as a kid. Positive ground car, shorted it accidentally while wrenching away and in a split second it blew up and scattered plastic all over the street. Got stuff in my eyes, had to sit at the hospital while they contacted my parents. Luckily no...

    Question about stored vehicles

Exactly! You can always hear some real whoppers from the Internet. A good friend of mine ruined parts on a beautiful 85 RX-7 by improperly jacking it up and allowing the pieces to sack down.
