    Finesse or brute force?

For sure this goes both ways. Discernment is the key. If I'm taking the pitman arm off my son's car at 200k miles then it's BFH time! If I'm re-soldering the lights in an AC control box then I need all the finesse. Both styles have their place IMO...

    Let's Talk Porsche 911

IMO you should drive something that interests you in some way. I like a car that has some exciting performance potential, and most 911's are like that for sure. But they have really changed from the 70's when I first noticed that 911's were almost the only car whose horsepower went up instead...

How happy are you in your profession ?

haha, great to see some happy folks. I worked for others in my field for decades before a sudden change left me with three young kids (8-10-12) and in need of more income. FAST! Started my own carpet cleaning biz, branched out to all floors and all furniture, working for expensive carpet...

JD POWER 2020 3yr Dependability ranking. The industry's improving

I will never forget their labeling the new (then) Chrysler 300 as unreliable before it was even released! Can one of their fanboys explain who they mailed their questionnaire to? They are worthy of training puppies. Not much more IMO.

    Pressurized Engine Preluber

Dry cranking is still not optimal. It can take many revolutions to get the oil pump to prime and move oil depending on various factors.

Kreen experiment: '05 Mercury Mariner w/ oil consumption issue.

Remember to note the maxlife will continue to clean if that is what is needed. Kreen is often used in engines that have issues not related to cleaning. In those cases it can do little.

    Bacon!

No Jimmy Dean here due to MSG in it. Our store carries two brands without it that are good, too. I am also curious as to why previous poster has quit pork. IIRC it is raised without hormones and is actually a pretty good meat.

    Put my dog down

Man, my heart goes out to you. I buried my old friend Janet, a redtick coonhound, in my back yard under some trees. It'll still tear me up if I'm not careful. Wait a few weeks and then get another pet. Life goes on, and it helps the heart to heal. Life happens in front of you, not behind!
