I had to laugh. One of the local Toyota dealers in Columbus ran an ad for a new Corolla.
They listed an MSRP of $25014. Their TV price was $24999.
A whole $15. How generous.
Quite the loss leader!
No, CAFE didn't get into Walmart's head.
They are going to sell what is required to meet manufacturer specifications on a plethora of vehicles.
It just so happens that OW20 happens to be the presently preferred flavor.
Retailers make sales (and money) satisfying consumer needs and wants.
Besides, even if they don't sell the part or you wish to access it elsewhere, they may have diagrams that provide the specifications for the hardware required.
Frankly, the cost differential is much less than what you would think.
In the example that I gave, the same group that put my roof on also does metal.
I also had them quote the metal.
In my case, I could have gone metal for right around a grand difference.
I really wanted to go that way, and was...
Yes, and it was amazing to watch.
I was as skeptical as anyone else.
They had the shingles stripped off my family room (25x30 room) in 25 minutes.
The work ethic was remarkable.
Here is a relatively recent replacement job (July, 2024.) Top of the line GAF shingle, full roof, no sheating replaced, on a 1700 square foot ranch. Five Amish guys for 5.5 hours= $12,967. I'm sure it will be higher than that in Cali, however.

On my Mustang that sometimes had five or six hundred miles put on it in a year "Last Service" is most useful.
As the previous owner of a vehicle purchased that was a lemon and having to go through the process to have it declared one, my advice to you would be avoid this one (and anything even remotely similar) like the plague.
When I put a 35 in my Accord, I had a guy behind the counter at NAPA try that garbage on me.
When he said that to me, I asked "How are you going to know what it came out of? Do you remove the faulty batteries personally?"
His answer was "No."
Why would they test a core?
I went into a WM a couple of weeks ago to buy a Marine/RV battery.
Checked out with new battery and core in cart.
I asked where to put the core I had with me.
They pointed to a cart.
Placed core in said cart.
Done. Out the door.
My mowing equipment is an X series Deere, a $20. TroyBilt trim mower (straight off of Craigslist 10 years ago,) and a couple of Echo weedeaters.
I have ample supplies of oil for the mowers and 2 cycle Echo oil.
I have filters and a spare set of plugs for the X.
I have a small cache of plugs for...
