    8.1L Vortec Napa Gold 7099. Bits/grit

Maybe a quart every 2500-3000 miles when working it, a quart every 4-5000 miles when not. My last 8.1 used a qt every 1500 miles no matter what and it was bone stock.

I had one. It is not super comfortable to shoot for my hand. It is a very reliable revolver though, always went boom.

    Tire recommendations for 2005 Tahoe

I understand about the noise of the Duratracs, they are loud. However they are amazing in the snow, one of the best out there. I was on the fence when I ran the Michelin LTX, they are a very good every day tire and excellent for towing. Pretty good in snow for what they are, although they are...

The 208 is a good transfer case. You won't break it.

Old 6.2L GM military truck ... Talk me out of this......

Nice ride! A lot of it is standard square body, but the M1008 has some extra coolness factor to it. The Dana 60 front, and the rear 14 bolt (it should have a Detroit Locker in it, if you've never run one when it goes BAM real loud, it's working normally!) are tough as hell, you won't break them...

ABC: Judge dismisses Alec Baldwin's 'Rust' case after defense claims evidence was withheld.

I'm probably mistaken but I thought Baldwin was responsible as executive producer. That includes hiring (whether directly or indirectly) the armorer. That is what I thought the case was about. Someone died over it is the sad part.

Motor Trend Hit Job on PHEVs

Off topic but this is so true for the magazine hacks. Of the 39 years I've worked SEMA, the magazines always wanted it opened to the public. I would tell them it's a trade show, we spend a lot of money to be here, and if they wanted to work my booth for an extra day open to the public, then more...

Mercedes Diesel Misfire After HG Replacement

Since everyone else is, I'm just going to throw this out there. From experience, you are going down money pit hell. You'll put a new cam in and it will be something else. Then something else. I've done this a lot in my younger days, and the lesson learned was to do it right the first time or...
