I need to do some intelligent load shedding when on a genset and am wondering if anyone has one and if they do how competent the software is.

    Coffee - Your Current Brew

My favorite local cafe sunday morning going to a ride before the heat hits. They serve a solid cup at a fair price. Pretty sure they buy from a local roaster called carolines.

anyone found a aftermarket air filter similar to honda oem?

I havent seen an aftermarket filter I like as much as the Honda, so I just keep one on the shelf from Bernardi. If it's oiled the oiling is really sparse - there was no trace of oil in the sealed bag that was touching the pleats directly. This was in for about 25K miles before the MM called...

What brakes do you guys use?

Hawk. Am something like 6 sets of Hawk models on various vehicles- super happy. The ones Im running now are the LTS pads on my trucks that I tow with frequently. Not sure who Stillen used (I think stop tech) but I was happy with Stillen pads as well.

    Blazer EV SS - Nice!

It seems GM is struggling with service on these cars. https://www.blazerevforum.com/threads/service-delayed-service-denied.2178/?post_id=23554&nested_view=1&sortby=oldest#post-23554

    Drove a Juniper today...

Agreed the loss of credit will affect all EV producers. Grumpy is right about the first loss of credit not slowing down Tesla at all, and you are right that they pivoted with lower prices and the 35K model everyone moaned they couldn't get, but then didnt buy when they could. GM is already...

    Zeekr “Golden Battery” Charging Test

All that charging speed doesn't necessarily mean faster trip times. Bjorn got his hands on the 100KW version of the fastest charging EV in the world- the Zeekr x7. It couldn't even beat a Model S on a 1K trip only managing a tie. At least it didnt overheat like the BYD's

    How to tax EVs

Im being teased by the Juniper y performance - prob a great ride and if you can get panasonic based pack typical of fremont then it should be pretty sweet.

    How to tax EVs

When my monopoly electric provider becomes hostile and userous I'll react. Solar provided me with over 7K a year in electricity for 20K. Is it green maybe, probably, do I care about that? It's nice, but green wasn't my goal. EV's have been hugely polarized and I don't like them because anyone...

    Latest Makita impact driver testing..

More power helps with chainsaws and mowers. Ive rarely needed more power than my 18 drills and impacts. Nothing in my driveway including my Class A motorhome on 22"s can resist my biggest 18V gun. Ive seen it blast at least one honda crankbolt off.

I understand that. I lost count of all the 18V makita products I have and I love them all. I still feel thats the best all rounder platform. Ive rebuilt several houses decks and kitchens and engines and only need more when I move into yard tools.

    How to tax EVs

Greatly depends on the EV. Decent sized ones weight about what half tons weighs. If you arent worried about 1/2 tons then you shoudlbnt be worried about Regular sized EV's. The GM stuff weighs the most per segment, the teslas the least. Steel Vs aluminum giant castings vs assemble sub...

    Latest Makita impact driver testing..

The performance is always interesting and typically goes back and forth between generations with the latest from each guy " winning" this or that series of sink speed comparisons. Of course most of this 101 type testing miss ergonomics, vibration or tool cut out thresholds. More interesting...

    How to tax EVs

This is what I mean earlier by pegging the rate to MPGE - most EV's clock in way above even Pri'i. Some above 100MPGE. Interestingly of the numerous employees I talk to regularly few to none care about its greenness. Most tell me charging at home is the game changer and changes the dynamic of...
