carbon build up in these engines is related more with short trips, you dont so forget it. 3.8 you mean,its typo..so that he is not of any concern. diluted coolant do you suggest it too, for a car that does short trips intown on a hot climate ? or that method is a suggestion just for tracking...

i know..but as edy has explained many times it doesnt matter if no long OCI is required, it has mb 229 approval.oxidation is the reason why it doesnt have bmw approval.so no worries.. the bait here is esters and their cleaning abilities and that is what the OP seeks for his oil.

@edyvw why not the mobil 0-30 which has more esters meaning good cleaning abilities? its a robust oil from mobil too.

about xcess both gen 1 and gen 2 ..a friend of mine used both of them in 3 different cars.,but not bmws. he told me that it takes a long time to pump that oil .did you notice that too?

i wish we had to speak at least with motul chatbots or automated systems here in Europe. speaking with motul customer care here in europe is just an illusion. last time i send an email they respond 2 weeks later telling me to speak with the local representative ,which i couldnt ,and that is why...
