I’ve gotten my boots from RA when I ordered brakes & rotors.
I use silicone paste so that the boots don’t deteriorate. However they do tear now & again.
For the way that you are asking the question I’d say NO, it’s not synthetic for the way that you want a real full synthetic. However I would say that it is
Group III according to the Safety Data Sheet (Section 3) that “The Critic” has provided.
Good idea Hermann to bring a psi gauge & pump especially since you are so very interested in the JETTA . And you can’t beat the base price of a JETTA with a stick, for such a nice overall car. I even like’em and I’m not even a VW guy. I’d be inclined to consider a Jetta or Golf even in spite of...
I learned how to drive on manual transmission vehicles, cars & trucks. And even 3-on the-tree. And even drove some 6 & 10 wheel dump trucks.
It’s not my favorite thing to do especially with our climate, roads, stop & go/slow & go type of environment and not the greatest knees.
I like cars in...
I too have this engine & hybrid system in our 2023 VENZA. No issues and(statistically) TOYOTA is the world leader in reliability and their hybrid vehicles supposedly have taken that reliability up a notch.
I remember your 1st post and you really seemed to like the one you tested. And the video that I posted was super positive about that car.
Could it be that this recent test drive is just that particular vehicle? Maybe the tire psi too? Or even the tire brand? Maybe the car was sitting on the lot...
I believe that the ILSAC GF3(>1000 ppm of ZDDP) from the early 2000’s, changed in around 2011 to GF4(~800 ppm ZDDP). I can’t remember every year that the GF# changed. I also believe the largest ZDDP/PHOS change/drop was from GF3 to GF4 and have stayed pretty steady since. Some oil brands have...
I don’t believe that you’ll do any harm to your brand new engine by using VRP.
I believed the same thing when others would ask the same question(“can I use HM oil in a new engine”) about these oils when they too first hit the market. No harm should come to the engine from VRP from what anyone...
No, because they're both a 5W30 grade of oil. The fact that one oil has a slightly lower cSt(as you mention, thinner viscosity) means little. However, I guess if you wanted to compare the FORD 5.0L calls for 5W20, and you want to stay closer to this grade of oil, then you might want to use the...
Or if all of the other mainstream brand such as M1, Castrol, QS 0W40’s(which I have seen at WM on occasion) are all sold out, customers will gladly buy the ST 0W40…I believe!
Or Amazon
I apologize if this has already been mentioned in the 11 too many to read pages that I didn't read prior to responding.
I am wondering if some dealers will raise prices on imported vehicles that are & have already been here in the United States even prior to the April 2nd tariff, and then blame...
Mazda makes nice vehicles. Their quality is high, good customer satisfaction, nice(er) materials inside with good coach work on the outside, and good reliability, great driving dynamics, just to name a few things.
