I struggle to see how a cooler could cause a finger amputation? It could probably roll over your toes as well?

That stuff must be almost 20 years old! They discontinued it in 2007. I used to use a lot of it.

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

I pointed this out in post #33. That is the reason I started asking questions about the Premium Guards.

How do you organize your pliers in your toolbox?

https://www.amazon.com/plier-stand/s?k=plier+stand My son uses one like this but it might not fit in a drawer. Would work on top, large drawer or bench https://www.amazon.com/HURRICANE-Organizer-Organized-Extendable-toolboxes/dp/B0D6647B8S/

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

Thanks for the information. That is what I was looking for to better understand this. From that info, I guess the micron rating is pretty useless and meaningless and the muti-pass efficiency is more of a real world test or spec.

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

I get that but just trying to understand the two specs and how they would be related. All hypothetical... Given a micron rating of 40 micron, would it be possible to have a multi-pass efficiency rating of smaller than 40 microns? I am assuming in the Premium Guard specs that either the micron...

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

Since nobody directly answered my question, I will assume that either 42-60 micron rating is wrong or the efficiency should read 99%@42-60?

But it wouldn't change the color of the fuel if premixed.

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

My question is how if the filter has a 42-60 micron rating? Wouldn't that mean it passes everything below 42 micron?

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

So how does it ever filter anything smaller like the 25 micron that they claim in their efficiency rating?

The last Stihl Synthetic grey bottle that I bought was not dyed. Mobil 1 2T used to be un-dyed. Amsoil Interceptor is just oil colored.

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

I am not skeptical or have a horse in the race. Just asking questions about why everyone thinks they are good filters. I guess the question that I have is: Does the 40-60 micron rating make sense with the 99% multi-pass efficiency for particles as small as 25 microns? I assumed that it would...

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

That was the point I was trying to make, and is it all BS marketing not backed up by testing? I have never used these filters but just started looking at them since that is all you hear about now on this site.

Premium Guard Ext Life - 99% at 25 microns, but micron rating is 42-60?

Why does everyone say Premium Guards are the best and trust them when they are a foreign company that will not return any information? I also looked at their website and it appears that the regular Premium Guard has a lower micron rating (15-25) that the Premium Guard Extended Life is 42-60...
