    International package shipping going nowhere

Just be patient. It looks like they closed the ISC in San Francisco last year. So the package went to SoCal for customs clearance, and then probably got routed back to SFO since it's more efficient for stuff going to the destination.

Is it normal for a package to sit at the post office and not show tracking.

Assuming they shipped it first class (Ground Advantage), and it went to the plant on Monday, I wouldn't start worrying until after Friday. The USPS has a map where you can get a rough estimate of how long something should take to arrive. https://postalpro.usps.com/ppro-tools/service-standards-maps

another electronics issue with whirlpool front loader

I'm looking at replacing mine with a low efficiency prosumer/commercial Maytag or Speed Queen top loader. Old school with mechanical dials, and the drum fills up all the way with water. My current Maytag Bravos is rusting, going into unbalanced load correction more often, and is just getting...

    Wix 51358 concerns

I would call the manufacturer. Engineering might want to take a look at it.

Could changing oil too often damage the engine?

Oil pumps move a tremendous volume of oil very quickly. Cartridge filters that can't be pre-filled wouldn't exist if the motor wasn't building oil pressure almost instantaneously. Please try not to worry about it.

    ATV oil....

A lot of people on forums have no idea what they're talking about. I'm sure the same 15W-40 that runs in semi trucks for hundreds of thousands of miles will work just fine in your new ATV.

Do you use USPS informed delivery and worry about what's coming that day?

I have whatever I can sent to a PO box. Informed delivery let's me know if I need to make a special trip to check it.

Need recommendation on a 10amp battery charger

Noco makes good jump packs. If I were in the market for a small form charger, that's the brand I would buy.

Post office is officially a joke

About 50% of the bills I process at work are paper checks sent through the mail. A lot of our vendors are smaller operations, so checks are just easier for them to deal with. If an org is drawing on a line of credit for operations, they can take advantage of the transit delay before payment...

Post office is officially a joke

PO boxes in my area are relatively cheap, so I rent one, and have all the important stuff I can sent there. A couple times per month, or when I see something pop up on informed delivery, I'll make a trip and check it.

Post office is officially a joke

USPS is installing modified blue boxes in many locations with a one way opening. Downside is that they aren't convenient to use from a car. Talking the extra effort to mail sensitive outgoing letters inside a PO lobby is most secure. If you must use a blue box, drop mail in it during the...

Post office is officially a joke

USPS uses postage to fund operations, and never discounts. Contact your credit card company and see if they can help you get a refund. The market is flooded with counterfeit stamps right now from overseas (mainly China), and the ads are everywhere. These current generation fakes are so good...

Stamp prices going up starting tomorrow

About 50% of the bills we pay out at work are to smaller vendors, so that means sending a paper check the mail. It's way overkill, but I bought 800 stamps before this price increase. On a personal note, I ordered a box of blank birthday cards a few weeks ago. I figure that some people might...

    Propane price coming down

I'll have to look at the invoice again, but I think we're paying $1.07/gal off the truck for irrigation fuel.

options to dispose off a car

Sell it to a scrap yard or U-Pull-It type place. Some will even send a tow truck to pick it up for you.

Product for killing trees/shrubs down to roots

Tordon RTU. You should be able to buy it at most farm supply stores like TSC. It does have 2,4-D, so read the label, and be careful around broadleaf stuff you don’t want to kill.

Any idea who manufactured this Duralast battery.

People would be amazed at what they can find out by contacting the manufacturer(s) directly.

    Best Universal Hydraulic Oil

We use John Deere HyGard, mainly because we also use JD 15W-40 and can get both in one delivery on the bulk truck.

where to get Craftsman socket warranted

I just warrantied out an 18" breaker bar that snapped. I filled out the warranty form the best I could, and for proof of purchase, attached a picture of the tool. They are sending a 15" since the broken one was discontinued, but it was replaced no questions asked.
