    Speed Bleeders (love them)

I bought a cheap plastic bottle and installed a line with a check valve. Seems to work as good as my Orion pressure set up once everything’s bled properly. I’m actually going to finish converting my other 2 cars over to Bosch 5.1 this weekend….maybe. They don’t need flushed but, the wife and I...

    Recovering a Odyssey

I have a battery minder 2012 agm charger. It’s made supposedly for higher end agms, Yuasa, oddysey and some others but I just have a clarios agm made for Nissan in the wife’s 2024. Before I bought it, I called battery minder and their tech guy told me it would overcharge my battery. 355 spider...

    Recovering a Odyssey

A few weeks shouldn’t have drained the battery unless somethings drawing from somewhere. I’ve left my car set at Detroit airport for a couple weeks many times, even let it set for 5 weeks. @ $35 a day the companies light fluttered when I turned in that expense report.

What do you folks use for rear brake calipers?

My calipers don’t require anything more than just being pushed back in. I use a giant pair of SK channel locks and open the reservoir cap.

2010 Silverado new front rotors and pads.

I miss the days of closed wheels and hubcaps lol. You never knew what you were in for!

brake pad ears . lube or not

I just do what the factory did. No lube. I change out rotors and pads every few years as I can’t stand the nasty look. No issues between that time.

Milwaukee M12 Surge and multi tool

What was the apr financing a set up like that lol. I bought an m18 fuel circular saw to cut Hardie board. One of the most impressive cordless tools I’ve ever used. I have a 25 yr old corded Milwaukee that isn’t this powerful.

Wagner Thermoquiet no longer has integrated shim for my CRV

The fronts are gg but nowhere outside of the pic on Amazon does the rear pad have the rating stamped. According to the listing, they’re fg. The color difference is why I’ll probably return them. I was going to use these on a car that won’t hide the pads completely. Most would never notice but...

Wagner Thermoquiet no longer has integrated shim for my CRV

No shims for the rear but the fronts came with shims. These are for the same car, yet the rears are a tannish color while the fronts are black. Should look good on open rims lol. The last set of Wagner pads I used was quiet stops with their black hatted rotors and it took longer to install them...

Milwaukee M12 Surge and multi tool

I was drilling holes in a concrete slab, my m18 “brushless” vs my son’s m12 fuel hammer drill. He destroyed me. Granted, mines old tech, but still. Wasn’t even close and his drill could fit in a cargo pocket.

Wagner Thermoquiet no longer has integrated shim for my CRV

I just received a set from prime day. No shims? Just a couple of humps that screams “I’m going to squeak”. These aren’t exactly cheap and look to be bottom barrel pads. Maybe I’ll be proved wrong but looking at the design, I can’t figure out why they’re well reviewed?

Alternatives for Toyota rubber plug - parking brake adjustment

I stopped in at Nissan after I paid $9 on eBay. I bought 6 for $13. Of course when I need one I’ll never be able to find it.

Milwaukee M12 Surge and multi tool

A good deal for sure, although the whole “surge” thing seems like a gimmick. My son is a contractor and uses m12 impacts all day every day and has nothing but praise. I’ve got a few m12 tools, ratchet, 3/8 impact and my personal favorite, m12 right angle grinder. As much brake work as I do all 3...

2010 Silverado new front rotors and pads.

I’m northern Ohio and obviously not Canada, I still get the state dumping salt on the roads like they’re trying to get rid of it at the slightest snowflake. I bought a can of silver Por 15 and am going to paint the hat and vanes every spring, just to see if it helps. I usually change rotors and...

What brakes do you guys use?

I just received my advics brake pads, first set I’ve ever ordered. The manufacturing is top notch for sure. The fronts are FG, the rears are FF. Not sure about that, but I’m sure it’s fine.

    12V battery charger question

Optimate has always intrigued me. They look well built.

What brakes do you guys use?

I’m always akin to try new pads and really like semi metallics. For the life of me, I can’t find these in semi, only ceramic. I miss the old days of having a choice. Raybestos eht were close but turned into corroded chunks of garbage in a winter.

    Battery Charger Testing Results

Noco is a joke compared to BM and Pulsetech. Proprietary cables, undercharges constantly and supposedly can charge my battery to full in just an hour or so. The last time I used it, I put the battery Noco claimed was charged on the Pulsetech and it charged for almost 3 hrs. It has a feature like...

EBC green stuff and coated rotors for 16 Odyssey

I just installed green stuff on my 18 rogue, stock akebono calipers and new ultra hc rotors. I had pad knock when hitting the brakes in reverse and then drive. My nephew had the same issue with green stuff on his Silverado a few weeks back. We emailed ebc and they’re sending us both new pads, no...
