All my Toyota/Lexus vehicles have had ice cold AC from 1998 Toyota Corolla to 2018 Lexus ES350, all ice cold but the coldest was probably the 2008 Lexus ES350 yes it was low miles (54k miles) but my other ES350s are also low miles but the 2008 was COLD, in the summer I had turn it down a few...

    Valvoline R&P, 5w-30, 5k oci, Toyota 4.0L 1GRFE

shouldn't have posted the pictures of the inside of the engine, there is a difference between facts vs hating. Toyota/Lexus VVT-i gears are very sensitive to build up, looking at the build up and varnish in your engine, your VVT-i gear(s) & most likely piston rings lands will have some sort of...

    Valvoline R&P, 5w-30, 5k oci, Toyota 4.0L 1GRFE

If that’s the case. Then your OCI were too long, you have too much buildup and varnish I have rebuilt many Toyota engines, a lot of them look like yours with conventional motor oil… 2GRFEs are super easy on oil and they look almost new inside, even with 5w30 conventional motor oil.

    Valvoline R&P, 5w-30, 5k oci, Toyota 4.0L 1GRFE

I am not familiar with this engine, but you have a lot of varnish and build up for the pricy oils you used, makes me think that they were not worth their additional cost. It might have been better to run shorter OCIs with budget friendly Full Synthetics.

Akebono (asp part#) ultra performance ceramic pads.

where did you buy them? Akebono - I can't find them on here, that's why I assumed it was the ProACT. nvm, found them on TireRack.com, they do not make them for my vehicles.

Akebono (asp part#) ultra performance ceramic pads.

Oh these are the Akebono ProACT brake pads, I have had great experience with them but I have found the PowerStop Z23's to have a better bite while having almost no brake dust (I can't really see any at all actually) and noise is hard for me to mention because in all my year of doing brakes I...

Ever buy a preemptive parts car/mechanics special?

very simple engine to rebuild, follow OEM Toyota manual for all the steps and torque specs. I have done this many times, and I still want to do it, I simply don't have any space to do this anymore.

    Toyota V-shaped brake pad springs

Avalon & ES350s have them from the factory and it is a single piston caliper. Volvo S60 from 2006 had them as well, and it was also a single piston caliper. Good, your coworkers are imbeciles, probably the same guys who will leave off a lot of random parts (brackets, bolts, etc...) because...
