What are you doing right now?

Getting ready to go to Home Depot to buy an 8 ft. (12 ft. reach) Werner step ladder that I don't want, but NEED for stuff around my new house. I do not like climbing ladders.

    Cordless Tool Batteries

Good advice IMO, and I would add that if you find a smoking deal on any tool (tool only), go ahead and pick it up. Adapters are available to run almost any battery on any color tool (assuming voltage is equivalent).

    1994 Boscombe Down Crash

Most likely a highly classified new (at the time) military aircraft that crashed during testing. Maybe the program was never declassified and that's why it has always been hush hush.

    Highest mileage vehicle?

Yes, original turbo. I never had any issues with it, and I didn't always run the proper spec oil, either. My driving style contributed to its long life. Back and forth to work 45 miles each way on the highway at 70 mph is how it lived its life. My driving style just doesn't wear vehicles out.

    Fish To Avoid

Will someone indulge my laziness and summarize the claim(s) made in the video?

    Cordless Tool Batteries

I know what you mean. I have a Makita impact driver that I use quite a bit lately and I love that thing, and I have a Makita high torque 1/2" impact wrench that I may never have a legitimate need for....but I have it. FWIW, the impact driver was made in China but the impact wrench says...

Interesting video about older vehicle ownership

That's one great thing about living in the SE USA. Rust on cars is just an abstract thought here.

    First hummer 4/11/25

Just put my two feeders out late Sunday afternoon (4/27/25), and I'm fairly sure I heard a hummer do a fly-by on me this morning while taking the dog out. Hummingbird season makes me happy!

Just saw a Goodyear commercial titled "Forever the greatest name in tires"

Currently running Goodyears on my son's Jeep Renegade. They seem like decent tires. Time will tell.

Third flat on the bicycle in 17,869 miles.

Isn't technology great (sometimes)? I remember being on a century ride pre-smartphones, and getting lost. That's such a foreign concept now.

    Rotor is stuck yay.

Can you rent an air hammer? In the video, the rotor is clearly loose but still catching on something. Have you tried hitting it on the back?

Ever have to chase passenger out of your seat on airplane ?

No but I've been almost chased out of what I thought was mine. I accidentally sat on the opposite side of the aisle from my seat, but in the correct row. The lady whose seat I was in at first asked me to move but then realized we were on the same row and both had the window seat so she shrugged...

Chain restaurant price increase chart from Finance Buzz

I'd like to see the same restaurants price increases on a chart from 2015-2020 to compare to the last 5 years.

Restaurant "Price and participation may vary"

We get coupons in the mail weekly that are for the local chain restaurants. My daughter tried to use one of the Dairy Queen coupons, and our local DQ refused to honor the coupon. RIP, local DQ.

Would you replace this filter after only 25 miles/10 hours?

I'd shake, vacuum, or blow it out and keep using, UNLESS I already had a new one, in which case I would replace.
