    You shouldn't be using oil that old. Oil does have a shelf life, contrary to what some BITOGs want to believe. This, to me, is one of the reasons why hoarding oil that can't be used in the near-future is foolish.

    I agree with all of this except for the oil pressure because oil pressure is measured at the bearings. I don't understand the correlation between oil level and oil pressure in this example.

    Factory tires are often junk but I still read way too much negative feedback about even Bridgestone replacements. For a tier 1 tire company, they seem to have a lot of misses in recent years.

    I would personally try Valvoline VR1. High zinc and comes in your desired viscosity. Can go blend or full syn depending on your preferences.

    It's most likely that the spec wasn't originally based on quarts but instead is based on liters and then just converted over for the American version of the owner's manual.

    My Accord burns significantly more Castrol Edge HM than Mobil 1 EP HM, both in 5W-30. It also burned a lot more GTX HM 5W-30 than Pennzoil blend HM 5W-30.
