    1998 Mustang GT 4.6l Automatic 200k miles

A lot of good results using Lubegard red if you want to seach some threads, It won't hurt to put a bottle in if that's what the op want's to do.

Deleting pan filter in favour of inline on cooler circuit

To get the foam out you end up destroying the filter case, it's a plastic welded seam, there is no way to put it back together.

Question for Canadian while I’m visiting Canada

Hot tub time machine? That XG8A looks to be more than a few years old, 16,000 km 10,000 mile rating, wonder if it was lost in the warehouse, recovered and put on the store shelf.

    I miss fram oil filters

The orange can is all you need, I wouldn't really want a 20,000 mile rated filter and use it for the full mileage rating, cut it open and find out it been doing a sub par job for who knows how long?

Nothing says Tough like that metal screen over the bypass valve, ready to stop grenade fragments. :)

    Motor Guard filter change

I plan to change rolls out at 5,000 km (3,000 miles) or maximum of 1 year, not sure of the cost up here for a UOA, but I like the idea of a particle count. I save money on buying less oil, roll change is 600-650 mL (2/3 of a quart) Castrol Edge 5W20, If I send oil samples for testing I am sure...

    Motor Guard filter change

Changed the tp roll today after 6 months, 1,000 Km's on this roll, did a lot of local short trips this past winter, in the past have gone 4,000 km's mostly highway, that seems to be the sweet spot, I think anyway. :)
