Interesting Hemmings Article on Oils & Additives

LSJ has certainly enjoyed the hype benefit of the doubt here.

Excellent. That filter could have gone on for another interval. Or even two.

Methy Mike and the Sketchy Bunch

They are risking the life to do that in suburban or rural TX. Big time.

    Gumout Regane Vs. Chevron Techron

Me too. I don't quite reach a true "floor it" condition, but I like to see 4000-4500 rpms once a week for 10-15 secs. Merging onto I-10 is a great place to accomplish that.

Invest money into mountain towing companies!

Yeahhhh, the adventuresome spirt takes over sometimes, most all of us has driven where we should not have at one point or another. I went past a "closed road" in NM once, it turned out OK but got dicey at times....

5k fram filter looks like a hot mess

As ugly as it appears, I bet it was still performing fine. Oil molecules don't worry about wavy pleats, or their narrow looking gaps. The gaps between the pleats looks to oil molecules like the Grand Canyon looks to a pellet.

Hertz will scan your rental return with AI

I take a pic of the gas gauge and odometer and whole instrument cluster before I drive off. I also take a pic walking up to the car, just to document the pickup time, and one when I am driving away that include the windshield view to document I was just leaving the parking lot.

    *Investors Blog*

MSFT laying off 9000 (about 5%) is a bullish indicator. They become a bit leaner and meaner, with some marginal performers let loose. Their payroll decreases and the remaining 95% are inspired to higher levels of productivity. Although I follow the SPX, I believe the DJIA can make a solid run...

    Any BITOGers near Biloxi MS?

We spend a week in Dauphin Island every year. Its awesome. If you want a "party animal" atmosphere, try Gulf Shores, but understand there will be crowds of college kids and traffic. Go to The Hangout. https://thehangout.com/hangout-gulf-shores/ If you want to chill in a beautiful, peaceful...

Fidelity's effective tax rates on IRA withdrawals by state

These are clearly disingenuous questions. What you ask no one could answer. I have no idea "who on BITOG or who in America it applies to". Also, 300 Million Americans do not share their personal info with me. Nor do I know "what about climate, amenities, recreation and earning potential' or any...

Fidelity's effective tax rates on IRA withdrawals by state

As I already disclosed, its not all encompassing, its one data point, but an important one. The overall cost of living state to state matters the most. Nothing is cherry picked. I was exceedingly clear it was one data point, among others. Fidelity is a good source.

Fidelity's effective tax rates on IRA withdrawals by state

Exactly. Metro counties especially, like Harris, Travis, Dallas have runaway spending. These counties have higher tax loads because of it. The rural counties generally do not operate the same way in most cases. The relief package that Bettencourt engineered will significantly help most Texans...
