A question for the community. In doing some reading on the Pentastar oil pump I learned it has two modes; a low pressure mode of of 29 psi and high pressure mode of 65 psi. Would hard frequent accelerating putting it into the 65 psi mode impact the media?

Hi Ripcord, I'd say extremely weird. He's probably a wealth of knowledge on small engines but sadly it gets diminished with the shtick. Wish he'd just be himself.

Aesthetically this is a well engineered filter produced with very good manufacturing execution. It would be great to know its performance rating and life.

Excellent recommendation Ryan. The SuperTechs (White Can) are ranked 4th in my database for performance for the dollar. They're a great value (using WalMarts brand name :)) at $3.84. ACDelcos are ranked 11th.

Hi Zee09, Unfortunately for me my version is $12.50. When their performance specs match a Tough Guard for $7.17 I'll begin to consider them. Also I want to see how the endcap adhesion works. But a tie will go to the USA made product. :)

I agree ZeeOSix. My preference is the fiber end caps because both the media and the endcap are porous materials that when glued make for a very strong joint connection. In some ways like gluing two pieces of wood together. The joint ends up stronger than the individual parts.

Wow, very un-WalMart to be stocking out of an item. Mine is behaving the same way on the SuperTechs. All the Fram filters are well stocked and restocked quickly.

Great eye ZeeOSix. It looks like they're waiting too long to change out the die. There is also small tears on the perimeter of the center threaded hole, perhaps the material is too thin? I'm having difficulty understanding how the media is glued to the endcaps.
