Good Morning HowAboutThis, The filter will completely drain in 15 minutes. I learned this through the Baxter Performance website video. As soon as you've shut off the engine start your oil draining and in 15 minutes reinstall the plug. Remove your oil filter and you find it comes off with no mess.

Another factory video on Fram I found stated that factory produces 500,000 filters per day. That juvenile would need to be pretty fast! :) The other thing that would be interesting to learn is how that automation handles all the different models, sizes, media, tapping plates etc.

I found a video of the Fram factory from 10 years ago. At 3:06 starts the gluing process of the fiber end caps followed by heat to cure the glue. The entire video is very good. The level of automation is incredible.

The media on this Ecogard has been assembled and glued nicely. It is rated at 10k miles while a Tough Guard is rated at 15K. Any thoughts as to why? Is it the media density that controls filter life or the type of media? Thank you.
