    Costco gas..Latest signage

Nothing it's just buzz words and marketing with a stock image. OP is putting too much thought into an advertisement.

    HVAC Woes

They are doing the same thing that dealerships tried during the car shortage. Required to sit down with sales to show them a big bill and have them sign here for a new car!

    HVAC Woes

Nah but if I had to guess I bet they are charging for a full system charge in there. TXVs are easy to get too. It cost me ~$600 in labor and 1 lb of freeon to warranty my 3rd Evaporator on my Lenox unit. Lot of the same labor (evac and charge) involved in changing out TXV but no where near...

    2011 GX460: first HPL drain

Not following why you want to go to a 40 grade on this engine. It's super easy on oil and 20wt UOAs always show very low wear, albeit some so show fuel dilution. I am personally running 0W30 ESP in mine, I really don't see a need to run a 40wt in it. My wife is the one that drives it and it's...

Thinking About Idemitsu TLS-LV for 2007 Tacoma V6 (Aisin A750E Automatic)

Toyota/Lexus had 15% off and some other deals so was $10/quart recently. Here is a link with the current Toyota part number shows -51C pourpoint. https://www.drive2.ru/b/575578120417969583/

Thinking About Idemitsu TLS-LV for 2007 Tacoma V6 (Aisin A750E Automatic)

Both have Esters, And they are very similar on FTIR. Feeding it into ChatGPT, Idemitsu does edge out WS. Looking at Pour point is -57 vs -44(WS) from Russian site. I have no issue with Idemitsu, I have used it but the pricing made WS more attractive this time around.

Thinking About Idemitsu TLS-LV for 2007 Tacoma V6 (Aisin A750E Automatic)

Idemitsu TLS-LV looks identical to Toyota WS under FTIR it's basically a clone of Toyota WS. I ended up buying 16 quarts of WS from Lexus dealer for $10 a quart shipped made it easy. Check Bell or Treasure Coast Lexus parts.

Fram Endurance Cartridge Filter USA vs Mexico

I walk by the filter section at my walmart every time I go, today they seemed to have restocked my GX460s Filter (FE10158) They had a bunch on the shelf but only 1 made the cut! the rest had excess glue. All the filters on the shelf were Made in Mexico. So it looks like what ever process they...

Insane Electric Rate Increase $508.68/1522 kWh

It looks like you have tons of credits so your bill essentially will be minimum bill for ever until you chew those credits back. Your system seems oversized imo. Luckily panels and inverters are pretty reliable so if it's been a few years you should be ok for a bit

    2023 Lexus GX460 17.3k mi; Mobil 1 EP 5w-30 @ 2.6k mi

I don't believe the GX460 has an engine oil temp sensor you may be reading a calculated value. OP run the oil for longer, no reason to dump the sump so early with quality oil. Go longer and do another UOA. I'm running 0W30 ESP in mine.

Deleting pan filter in favour of inline on cooler circuit

Some transmissions especially Japanese ones sometimes just have a metal mesh screen. My GX460 has what they call a felt strainer which appears to be the type of material you mentioned. If you are worried about leak points that's fine, most of us are not. I've ran Magnefine filter on all my...
