For what it's worth I have a pressure washer with the same exact engine but it has a regular choke. Wonder how fesible it is to swap?

I had a heck of a time with a GCV190 on my push mower. It wouldn't close the choke when cold. Changed out the thermowax and it worked slightly better but still didn't fully work right. So for a year, I'd just manually actuate the choke. last year, for some reason, it just started working 🤷‍♂️

I am generally a purist. But I also know, first hand , that you can put the below in one of these transmissions without hurting it. Maybe not straight , but a mixture or concoction in an emergency. - Random ATF -Motor oil -Gear oil ( pump whines) - PS fluid - brake fluid ( small amount)

I'm all about super early drain on transmissions / differentials. Then if you want to go factory interval, do it. The fluid in our Sentra was awful when I changed it around 15K the first time, and it was much better the second time when I did it at 31K.

I bought a bunch of it a few years ago for $1 a quart ... and I run it in my generator for winter time.

The Trader Joe's here has been PACKED since it opened in 2014. To the point that I've never been able to park there. Always have to park at the store next door I have no doubt they could open a second location a few miles away and still be busy.
