Kirkland Oil & shorter oil change intervals

Well I call it lesson learned. I have done the same thing with previous cars. I now use supertech and Kirkland with a factory Oe oil filter and do 3K oil changes. I would consider my driving locally stop and go into the more gas diluted zone. I have always changed it more frequently. Like you...

Car buyer from online auction, trying to scam me?

I sold a G35 to a guy from Arizona. He came here in a rental car, we went to a cash transfer bank. We signed papers, I followed him to the car rental drop-off. He went on his way. The DMV has an online title release feature it takes about 10 minutes to complete. This immediately releases you of...

Oil Viscosity Trends and Hybrid Reliability: Is Spec Sheet Performance Misleading Real-World Use?

I would say the bigger picture is forget about oil condition,,, what about that person's health condition! Driving 500 miles a day is insane! That is a one way ticket to the cardiac Ward. Just my two cents

    Spark plugs replaced. Pic

Perhaps I'll just pick up plugs from the dealership when my miles add up. I'm not too trustworthy on some of these auto parts stores, mostly because I'm not sure where they get their products and most that I read on the packages are usually from a global vendors that probably isn't regulated...

    10-day review - 2025 Ford Bronco Sport

Well I'll chime in because I was a long time researcher of this new Ford Bronco before they came out. I almost pulled the trigger and put money down on one. But I woke up and realized that at 18 MPG that would not cut it for me with stop and go traffic. I looked at all the different models...

People gas it so you cant switch lanes?

I'll chime in! Here in SoCal most people don't let you get on the freeway, or off! Even when you are signaling they just speed up. and when flowing at the speed of traffic You have to practically cut someone off just to get over a lane because everybody is tailgating. Everybody around me...

For me I just can't see preserving my cars for the next guy. I just wash them, wax them twice a year for the hell of it.

Stuck oil filter ... Camry 2AZ-FE

My two cents, that looks like a familiar nightmare that I've had from taking my car to the dealership where they have over tightened it and not use any lube to put the new filter on. I used all of the above wrenches in a situation like that and all of them did nothing but either slip or chew...

    How much for eggs now?

Iets not forget about our beef here in the US. And specifically here in California most beef we get even though it has the stamp USDA stamp on it does not mean it was grown and harvested here. We currently have a legislative agreement that if the butcher cuts it here then he can mark it with...

    How much for eggs now?

I agree I have bought organic and regular grocery store bananas. And 90% of the time there is absolutely no flavor at all they just don't taste like they used to.

    How much for eggs now?

I'm boycotting eggs I have been for the last 3 and 1/2 months. I refuse to pay over $4.50 for a dozen eggs. I think it's just another tactic to keep the common man down and broke. They ask high prices for the eggs and as long as they can get it they'll keep taking it from us. Boycott, eggs...

    20 wt oil for neighbor

I've been using the Kirkland's 0w-20 full synthetic now for the last two changes. I think it's a fine oil. A good deal for two jugs at 34 bucks. I should mention that I do frequent oil changes because I just like to.! My obsession!

Any high mileage vehicles that have used 0w16?

I will chime in if this has any Merit. I have a R4 hybrid, using 0w-16 and 20 for the most part. Driving around town, stop and go I seem to have a good amount of fuel smell in the oil. I'm not too concerned about it since I do some freeway driving that seems to burn most of it off, at least by...
