Nissan latest - Asking suppliers to pause payments..

Isn't 2025 supposed to be the last year for the Versa? I looked briefly on the Google and the various AI-written posts are leaving me unsure.

Nissan latest - Asking suppliers to pause payments..

That was sixty years ago. Now, the young teacher wants a big SUV, and will finance it for 96 months or whatever to get it. Small, inexpensive and/or entry-level cars just don't sell like they used to.

    Overpriced truck; '97 F-350.

This is the Atikovi pricing model.

    Overpriced truck; '97 F-350.

I'm sure it didn't even cost that much new.... And that was nearly 30 years (and 300K miles) ago.

    Lock car at night

Back when I was a kid, we left the house unlocked all the time. We had an aunt who would come visit unexpectedly a few times a year, and she'd just let herself in if we weren't home. It was really weird to come home from, say, a bike ride while everyone else was away and come into the house to...

I Had a Mid, Mid Life Crisis

Is that Lapis Blue? In the last photo it looks almost purple but that might also be a white balance thing. I have a '21 and yes the MPG gauge seems a little optimistic. I should do the math sometime to be sure. STI owners are going to razz on you for having the STI wing, but if I remember...

    Parts store follies.

We must be shopping at the same store! Looking up an item and walking back to check on it is far too much work..... Much easier to just tell the caller they don't have it.

Renault probably has a considerable presence in Mexico thanks to its relationship with Nissan (Nissan is huge in Mexico).

Rant: Accident right after replacing parts

Reminds me of my friend's S-10 Blazer..... His Blazer was stolen, and then recovered a couple days later stripped of parts. He got it fixed, and then the very next day traded it in on a new Blazer (mainly because he couldn't tolerate the notion that bad people had been in his vehicle). The...

Rant: Accident right after replacing parts

That's about how long a radiator lasted that I replaced.... I had just finished replacing a leaking radiator and I was just out for a quick ride to the gas station and back to get it up to temperature, when I got rear-ended hard by a kid in an F-150, and that pushed me into the truck in front...

Dealership Cost... What do you think?

Yes, but as was mentioned earlier they're located down low on the sides of the engine, tight up against the frame rails and you have to remove the battery and intake tubing just to make a little more room, which is why the OP is steering away from doing it himself.

Dealership Cost... What do you think?

That's the problem.... It's their location. He probably can't actually see them.

Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys just passed away at 82

My first was also the Beach Boys, at the Peoria Civic Center. Dennis Wilson was already gone by a couple years, and the biggest applause came for longtime fill-in guy (and Peoria native) Bruce Johnston. After this many years I am not 100% certain Brian was there or not.... I think so but...

Good YT video on trying to make something in the USA

I'm probably exaggerating a little, without meaning to. It was awhile ago that I saw the video, and I didn't take any notes.

Good YT video on trying to make something in the USA

Youtube channel "Kev Central" toured that factory and made a video, and I have to say it's a really strange operation. It looked like there was about a hundred employees, and very little automation. One guy would pick up a bike frame, hand it to the next guy, who'd put it on a cart.... Then...

Since we're cracking jokes, I'll just mention that "Nomas' CX-9 is No Mas!" Sorry, I just had to!

    Oilpan Drainplug Removal Tool

I've seen a few pros who use the magnetic tool just to minimize how many times they have to change to a clean pair of gloves.
