    Expert recommendations for 2.0 ecoboost

Gonna keep it along time, I already rust proofed it all with fluid film and ceramic it I. The first week. Mostly city driving with some highway tossed in now and then. Prolly 12000 to 16000 per year

    Expert recommendations for 2.0 ecoboost

I have another thread going on the valvoline oil but I’m curious what the experts here would run in 2.0 ecoboost from new. Make it interesting any ecoboost seeing that they all are hard on oil. Would you run a specialty oil or stick with ford spec? Would you run a different weight? Would you...

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

Does anyone think Mobil 1 ESP or amsoil is better? It’s all overkill but I just want to start the vehicle on the best and keep using it. I had the entire vehicle fluid filmed and I ceramic buffed it when I brought it home. I plan on keeping it a long time. So like most of you I always seek the best

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

U guys are making me nervous like this new oil needs to prove itself. Maybe I should take it back and get something that’s been around awhile. I think they probably just tweaked the EP package aliitle and gave it a new name.

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

Maybe it will protect and maintain factory clean, its proced less than amsoil and hpl. It meets the newest ford spec so I thought I’d give it a try. Seems like they are trying to get a bit of penzoil ultra platinum market share. I looked at the ultra platinum and it did not meet fords newest...

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

Those were my thoughts when I bought it. I was considering amsoil and hpl but seeing that the engine is an ecoboost and all ecoboosts are very hard on oil I will never do an extended oci. I want the best I can get at a reasonable price and run it 4 to 5 thousand miles. I contacted valvoline and...

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

I guess since I'm putting it in a brand new car with less than 1000 miles ill just protect and remain factory clean

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

it was 38.99 for the 5 quart and 11.99 for the quart. A little expensive. Unless us bitog really like it, I imagine it won't be a big seller until the price comes down a bit. That will prolly happen if Walmart starts selling it.

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

Auto zone, they had two of the 5 quart bottles in 3 different viscosities and a few quarts in each viscosity. I was at a Michigan auto zone. I heard they will be the first chain to have it in stock and soon after everyone will have it.

Valvoline Restore & Protect 5w-30 (Gonna Take a Chance)

We bought a new 2024 Ford edge with the 2.0 ecoboost. I always do an early change before 1000 miles. I always say I'm gonna try mobil one esp 5w30 but I always back out when I see it doesn't have the Ford wss m2c 961 a1 approval. Then I saw the new Valvoline on the shelf. I have not seen a voa...

Help me pick a new car

The maverick is awesome but the interest rates are high. I will tell you the ford Edge has same engine and trans, rides way better, is tried and true and in its last year of production. They have great rebates and very low interest rates. if you like smaller vehicles you can get the ford escape...

    General Altimax RT43 T-rated

There are too many better options out there at that price range. Pricier but best Michelin cross climate. Bridgestone weather peak. Check out the tire rack website and type in your size and sort by highest rated. That’s the quickest way to see the best ones. Most places match the price or you...

2022 ford edge Installed 4 Bridgestone alenza ulta a/s They drive great so far. Very smooth over bumps and quiet. Great in rain and the tread looks like it should be very good in snow. A little on the pricey side but after rebates and selling the old Michelins with 10k on them they weren’t too bad

I am less than thrilled to buy next vehicle.

Grab a Ford Edge before they are all gone. They have all the safety items you requested and they are very reliable and are tried and true now that they have been built without any real changes for a few years. Escape is nice too if you want smaller and still meet all your needs. You can get the...

Early Oil Change on Brand New Vehicle a Good Idea?

Every motorized item I’ve ever bought cars boats motorcycles all have gotten early oil changes and yes I could see the glittery stuff in the oil. Doesn’t matter the brand of vehicle either. If you went 10k the oil was prolly to dirty to see it though

    0w30 vs 5w30

I ran short oci for first couple changes with valvoline EP and then Quaker state ultimate both because of the higher moly that I thought would help with breakin. Now at about 9500 miles thinkin of goin with Mobil 1 esp and staying with that since it’s easy to find and rated api sp
