AutoZone has been know to use different filter suppliers for their STP filters depending on region. It is not always a all one filter maker at any given time with them.

I give that filter rating a pass. Hard to tell where in service use starts and destructive removal and opening begins.

Had it been changed before? Sounds like it dislodged something that any fluid change would have induced if it was a high mileage transmission that had never been service.

Trust me when I say this, trailer it home. Driving something like that long distance after it has sat for decades is a disaster waiting to happen. Seals and hoses that have not been brought up to temp and possible stuck thermostat is calling for trouble.
