I get analysis's on my 5.7 to try and give myself a heads up if the lifters are failing.. I always assumed that would show with high Iron. I don't know if yours is high enough to show a real issue or not. Mine is much lower than that with more miles on the change..

In GA by driving you have given implied consent to be tested. Refusal to do so will result in you losing your license for a year and getting a DUI anyway.. Know a couple people that have refused and they might as well have taken the test and took the DUI (were probably guilty).

Not sure on your model, but the couple of clutch kits I've used included a pilot bearing. Cost of labor vs cost of parts (cheap) I would never go in there and not replace all components. Just my opinion..

In the end you're going to be replacing it with a full clutch kit anyway, so does it really matter? I had a release bearing give some very odd symptoms on my Mazda; it would shudder/make noise badly when releasing the clutch to get underway. I didn't know exactly what was wrong at the time, but...

They are unique vehicles that can do things most others can't. Come in Manual transmission and with 2 or 4 doors and look cool. Nothing not to like IMO. I wouldn't want one as my DD, but as a 2nd or 3rd car why not? I enjoy my Samurai, which is essentially a Willys Jeep from the 80's size wise.

Yeah Rebate period ended on April 30th I believe. From what I've read there will probably be another one at some point. When I bought it was $295 with a $75 MIR.

I go 2 years on my old F-150. It does get a 45min highway run every once in a while though.
