4th analysis on my 2016 Ram. Interestingly this one probably had the highest percentage of towing miles and had the lowest wear metals so far. I've got one more change worth of Mobil 1 5w-30, not sure if I'll experiment with 0w-40 in the future or not. What do you all think? Worth noting filter...

Personally I’ve never done one before 60k. 15k is definitely overkill but it won’t hurt anything if it makes you feel better.

I think the PPE pan has the drain bolt in a different location which would be reason enough to use it on my 4wd Hemi truck.. Sucking the fluid out works fine other than there is a gush of fluid when you remove the fill bolt. There was very little fluid left in the pan after I used the extractor.

Nice Mower. I picked one off the curb with a similar engine several years ago and fixed it up/sold it. The carb was plastic and was less than $15 on amazon. They start easy and seem to run well. Do what you want on the oil front, in my experience as long as they're full of something slippery...

I've only had one issue and I've used a few very cheap warehouse deal alternators.. The one was made wrong and the plugs were all clocked the wrong way and I can see why the first guy returned it..

I just finished using the ZF fluid and a Dorman pan on my truck and no leaks so far.. I sort of wish I'd sprung for the PPE pan, but everything seems to be fine so far.. One of the magnets was broken on the Dorman pan so I reused one from the OE pan. Also make sure you torque the drain plug on...

Possible the bendix didn't fully retract on the starter? That would cause quite a racket and maybe the next restart it retracted fully..
