They would probably go back to GM? I know on the Pacifica ones there is a huge core charge on them.

They usually just cause a lean code and still drive well. Check that coil though, they usually dont give much warning, and just go dead on a cyl.

If its high miles/dirty looking in oil fill cap, might want to do a valve cover....oem is cheap. When off pay att. to small PCV ports in head , and clean out carbon/blow out with air gun. And look at coil....pull boots, and look for rot where springs touch coil. While I'm a mopar tech, we sold...

On my Volvos, I drain and fill till it looks clean/almost like the new stuff. No changeable filter in them(rock catcher) I do it all at once and run it on the hoist between dumps, usually 3-4l at a time.

If u are talking the style with the motor on the caliper, they seem to be VERY trouble free from what I have seen. I have only ever changed couple. I have changed some that were wrecked by someone trying to jam them back with piston compressor/or taking them apart but thats not a part issue...

Was curious myself on filter so compared today....left is 2016 with new filter popped in it. Right is the new gen3 filter....Looks like the only "improved redesign" is its now double the price.:cautious: $44Canadian list vs $93. I'll pop a used gen 3 apart on next one I do....Im curious to see...

One thing I will say having learned the hard way is have a VERY good chartplotter/gps . There are LOTS of things hiding just under the water. One decent tap on a drive can add up to 10k$ so fast it will make your head spin:D
