Why is the fuse on the positive side?

The positive side is isolated from the chassis until after the load. Blown fuse, no flow. The chassis and negative side are the same. If there is a short, there is nowhere for the 12volts to flow. Make more better sense?

Why is the fuse on the positive side?

If you go positive to negative, the blown fuse can prevent a short. If you go negative to positive and blow a fuse, there is no "potential difference" and that prevents a short. Potential difference meaning there is nowhere for the flow to go.

Why is the fuse on the positive side?

IIRC, the Navy teaches it negative to positive.

    Baffling electrical issue

FYI, when troubleshooting electrical issues, start from the power source and work your way out from there.

Run time on battery powered blowers?

Some of the Ryobi tools have a switch that keeps you from running them WFO. My weed eater has one and functions just fine on the lower setting.

Run time on battery powered blowers?

Not all blowers are the same. Get the right tool for the job..... maybe a more powerful blower is what you need.

Run time on battery powered blowers?

Cutting back to 80% instead of wide open can greatly increase how long the battery will stay charged.

    Attic Fan?

Does the house have soffit vents? In order for ridge vents to work correctly, you need soffit vents. On my recent reroof, I stuck with whirlybirds. My house also has gable vents.

    Hot tire pressure

Nitrogen is more temperature stable Nitrogen is more temperature stable than air12. It forms about 78% of Earth's atmosphere and is the most abundant chemical species in air3. However, the atmosphere of Mars is only 2.6% nitrogen4. Liquid nitrogen, which is very cold, boils into nitrogen gas at...

    Floor Jack Acting Up.

It probably has air trapped in it. I had a friend rebuild my craftsman and it did the same thing. I can't remember the procedure to get it out.... but I think you remove the fill plug and put weight on the jack and try to raise it. Google can be your friend here. Don't trust your life to any...

    3.5 Ecoboost cam lobe wear?

I have a F150 3.5 eco with 149500 miles on 10k OCI...so far so good. When you build as many as Ford does, someone is going to fall on the low side of average. Sorry for the issues you are having.

How Often Do You Replace Carry Ammo?

I remove the chambered round once a month at the range. After range time, I make sure the round that was chambered goes back in the chamber. Do you not use your edc at the range?

How Often Do You Replace Carry Ammo?

Still have no clue. It happened at least twice, maybe 3 times. The first time I considered it a fluke. I would decide it was time to change the ammo out, try to fire it and nothing The ejected round would always have a good primer strike. At the time, I was still working. The gun would ride to...

How Often Do You Replace Carry Ammo?

I carried a Kimber Ultra .45 for several years. It was loaded with Federal HST's. The round in the chamber would go bad/would not fire in under a year. The rounds in the magazine would still be good. On that gun, I went 6 months. On the gun I carry now, I go one year.

    3.5 Ecoboost cam lobe wear?

I might be wrong, but didn't Ford put out an extended warranty/customer satisfaction on the cam phasers? I thought they were covering them to 100k?

School me on DW & Colt 1911

Most 2011s are 9mm, but not all 9mm are 2011s. Lots of single stack 9mm out there.

School me on DW & Colt 1911

When I first got it, it would have FTEs a lot. (Failure to eject) I adjusted extractor tension and smoothed the hook on the extractor a little. It's not having issues with most ball ammo but for some reason it jut doesn't like PMC. I have moved to S&B for range ammo.
