The Microgard Select for my Buick is advertised 25 microns @ 99%. Perhaps it varies by size or part #? Not that it matters though. Whether 20 or 25, either is good. That said, in future I will use NAPA Gold.

In regard to post 55. Here are some data sheets for comparison. Note the cSt viscosity differences at KV100 aka 100C. Stock PSF for Buick & GM (for comparison): AC Delco OE cSt ?, ?, VI 150, FP347, PP -44F

I agree in regard to 80s cars. Most of them were gutless. However, 60s & early 70s cars had lots of torque and horsepower. They did fine using conventional oils AFAIK.
