Noisy? You have a straight piped SBC powered flush or something? 🤣 Flush. Hell flush 2 or 3 times just in case. It's just water, it's almost free.

We get 40-50mph winds when it's -50*. Never seems to not be a wind, just varies from rip the truck door off to mildly annoying in strength. A day without wind, even when it's -50*, feels beautiful 🤣 Currently 22*, 12* with the breeze.

Seems wild the sight hole isn't at normal "cold" like most any other fluid level. If I go fill a gearbox or final drive, fill till it comes out and it's good. I haven't kept up with these new whizz bang transmissions, but most before could be low a quart or two (depending on pan size)and still...

I do them every 500 hrs unless it has a gauge and it reads it needs it earlier. If there's an inner filter, usually just leave it till it starts getting dusty. Have 1 piece of equipment it's getting mostly plugged by 250hrs.

It's always been pricey stuff. The 0w40 a few customers buy is about $2200 a drum. Even the little 6qt boxes works to about same price per gallon.

I don't know what was in it. Maybe was orginal oil even. 12qt case through work is about $32.

Seems like it'd be thin. We do cetus 68 for arctic use. Compressor is in heated room, so don't need to worry about cold.
