Valvoline Maxlife ATF, the best for all applications?

I've read Toyotas owners being happy with Havoline MV. It specifically lists the 3309 spec. Not sure on WS, that's much newer than anything I've needed oil for. I bought a case for my Dodge for when I put a kit in the valve body, maybe next week. I used Mobil last time, but it was over $30...

Was Your Dad or Granddad a Believer in Non-Detergent Motor Oil?

Lube distributor still exist though. It's what I do. We go through ~40-80,000lbs of oil a week.

    Which tire protectant?

I bought some a few years ago that's supposed to help dry rot for a tractor, but I never used it, forgot what I did with the jug even 🤣

Was Your Dad or Granddad a Believer in Non-Detergent Motor Oil?

Theory is that the **** sinks to the bottom of the crankcase vs keep in circulation. With a filter, caught by. Dunno, Im not an oil engineer, I just sell and deliver the stuff. Air compressors still spec 30wt ND

Was Your Dad or Granddad a Believer in Non-Detergent Motor Oil?

Lot of older stuff didn't have oil filters, so makes sense. I've seen engines from the 70s even without full flow filtration. Congenital flatheads, Toyota 1F, etc. I'm surprised newer small engines that don't have filters don't spec ND 30wt anymore, least that I've seen. New generator I bought...

Tree limb landed on my electrical service..

About $700 a year. Vehicle insurance for 5 vehicles is about $1800 a year. Just liability though, don't have anything that'd be worthy of full coverage. Newest is near 20 years old. Oldest over 40.

Wife's assessment when the Wife dies before the Husband

3 generations ago, yes. My grandfather likely wouldn't have been able to handle house duties if my memere passed first. He passed in his 70s in 2003, she made it to 95, passed about 2 months ago. She was only ok because my uncle retired from the .mil and they bought the homestead and moved in...

Tree limb landed on my electrical service..

It's why I put my deductible to 15 or 20k. Unless the place burns down or falls over, I have no use for insurance. Anything under that, I'll deal with. Like this wiring mess, I'd run it underground, DIY. I could do it for probably under $1000 of materials. But of course I understand some...

What fluid for my Lowboy trailer

Don't blame you, stuff is crazy money. Maybe fine on a high dollar race car, but a huge waste on equipment when tons of quality fluids are available at reasonable prices.

What fluid for my Lowboy trailer

Not familiar with Rando MV 32, might be an old name. There's HDZ 32

FYI, Valvoline MaxLife MultiVehicle ATF is indeed recommended for Auto Trak II transfer case fluid replacement

I've been getting the Havoline MV ATF for my truck that specs Mobil 3309. It feels weird using a "universal" fluid though.
