After my research recently I did not want a Bradford White. I opted instead for the Rheem/with an expansion tank. I relaced my existing water heater at the 7 year mark-looking at the average for water life expectancy in my area. Good to be proactive.
The start/stop in my wife's Volvo (2022 XC60) is a system that is as near seamless and non intrusive as can be. It's ultra smooth-not in the slightest bit noisy and cycles very, very, quick.

Putting to bed another stereotype here on this forum.
90% of the vehicles in So. Cal fall under severe service and if it's synthetic oil you use....it's a "money flush". JMHO-as someone who has spent 1 million miles on the So. Cal freeways. Never had a car blow up-or break down.
There is no delay. You cant physically move your foot from the brake to the gas pedal before the motor starts. Also-the start from a red light-is not a dry start, the starters are not conventional starters.

The start/stop has been around in the F150 for ten years. There are not reports of starters/motor mounts, etc., going out in any large numbers. Do they need a more robust battery? Sure.
