I hope you're not 180 degees out of time. Did you make sure you lined everything up?. I did that on some rebuilds back in the day. Click. Same thing. Maybe you'll get lucky, and it will be the starter. Fingers crossed.

I should, but I don't. Just put some anti-seize on the threads, and zip it down with the gun. It's an electric 1/2" Porter Cable, gives off plenty of torque, but I know it's not the right way. Haven't had a bearing fail, yet......

Turning 59 in Jan 26'. Currently recovering from 2 disc implant L3/4 this go round. L4/5 in 2020. No doubt I slowed down tremendously. What took me 6 hrs, now takes me 2 days. Just don't have that oomph anymore. Used to pull all niters, and go to sleep with the birds chirpin. No more. 8pm...

Oil pan 4, that tells me that that stupid 15.5hp is a splash engine with no pump in it. Figures, just my luck. Not gonna waste the money retro-fitting it. It's undersized for the yard anyway. Eats spindles like crazy, and I even bought greasable spindles !!!!!... I'll run it till that little...

Yeah, I tried a few small diameter Honda crush washer's, they leaked. Gotta find the perfect diameter. Next OC gonna try Nortstar's orientation that he has written down, now I have it written down too :) ..Apparently, it's a one way only washer.

Leave it alone. I've seen a lot of mixing, oil & coolant, in my day....( on my own car's too), and this has got to be the cleanest " non-mixture" I have ever seen. Especially when cold, that's when the mix really rears it ugly head. No worries in my book.

Never had an issue with the ride of KYB's. If you need a stiffer ride, KYB's will give you that...I wouldn't install them in a 70's Caddy. Caddy supposed to float around for a smooth ride.

The exact same one I have. Do you see the difference though ? It says gasket, not crush washer, and they do loosen up, for some strange reason......

Great idea :) ....... I'll add a filter to my 15.5 hp Briggs Rider engine. Now all I need is a kit to do it. Any ideas out there where I can get a hold of a kit for a 15.5 hp Briggs vertical engine ??? Plenty of room to add one.

Ok :(....You all win. Makes total sense. I get it. I was just tryin to cheat a little bit. Thankfully, I always make sure the bleeders have good caps on them,,,,if not,,,the 8 mm bleeder goes SNAP :(.... Then you're in a world of doo-doo.....On a RARE occasion, I run into a 10mm bleeder.....:)

Good point. They are paper thin, unlike a true crush washer. Maybe they are just gaskets ? Next OC, gonna inspect the alleged " crush washer", and if still good, going to re-use and see if it loosens up again. I did wire wheel off all the felt last OC, and no leaks. Why does Toyota gotta be so...

That car is in good shape ! Now, lose the spoiler wing, and lose the ice dam breakers at the top of the rear window. Love the dashboard :)... It's a shame the tires flat spotted on you :(...There not even that old......
