    Control arms, OEM vs aftermarket

I put Meyle control arms on my son's CRV and some Sankei 555 ball joints while I was there. Has been fine for 3 years so far.

    The Car Guy YouTuber

I have a coworker who got their Silverado trans replaced at the dealer, failed again less than a month later. The 2nd replacement has been good so far. Sad that even OEM/dealer parts are a gamble these days

I have 4 boys and had my share of stuff wrecked. Don't give up. It just makes having something nice that much better.

Another fire has started near me

Life in California. Between nature, the homeless and the pyromaniacs it seems like something is always burning. When its not flooding, anyways.

    hit and run damage

Get it fixed and move on with life. Not everyone in the world is a good person but you still have to deal with them. Same thing happened to my S2000. I had the body fixed to perfect shape, new front and rear bumper covers, painted black with 3 coats of clear, color sanded and buffed to a mirror...

315 70r17 x-Comp A/T. The tire shop didn't get the balancing just right but close enough for an old truck. Ride is good. I would have rather gotten the BFGs but the price on them has gotten ridiculous.

I had a 79 Eldo and a 90 Deville. I loved running the Vogues with the white and gold.

    Favorite Travel Discount Sites

Priceline, Costco and AAA are the only ones I have found that offer any significant savings. Always check the price booking direct too. Many times it's the same or cheaper. If its the same you will usually get better treatment if you have any requests on arrival

Man, that starter is miserable, right? I got an AC Delco and it died in a few months. Got to do it again with a Denso part. That's the last Delco part Im ever buying

    Most reliable used simple/basic vehicle

I got my son an 02 CRV for $4k a while back. Its a poverty ride but I like it. I drove it to work for a bit before he got his license. I'll drive it again if ever gets himself a newer car.

Capri and Icon beat Snap on

If you have hulk strength the test is relevant. For Human use, not so much. The smoothness of the snap-on ratchet would be much more important for an actual mechanic.

    Broken clavicle / collar bone

1st x ray was at emergency, didn't get to see the Ortho. Dr. until today.

    Broken clavicle / collar bone

Well, I need surgery. A piece of bone is broken off and pointing up. Risk of poking through the skin over time and apparently that would be an emergency situation.

    Broken clavicle / collar bone

Sounds promising. Thanks for sharing. Putting a shirt on is pretty much the hardest thing to do currently
