The tune up kit for my mower comes with a 12 ounce bottle of oil

My HRN216 has the GCV170 motor. I changed the oil using the Briggs and Stratton oil extractor. I refilled with exactly 12 ounces of oil. I just checked it again (mower has been sitting for 24 hours) and the oil is to the top of the crosshatch. I’m assuming that’s full

Honda HRN216VK, 12 oz of Mobil 1 Extended Performance 10w-30

I sold a bottle of Pappy 15 and a bottle of Pappy 20, that I paid retail for, for $2,450 two years ago.

Oil suggestions for this motor? Honda 10w-30 or Mobil One?

Now the obvious question, which oil?

I went to a local mower shop that is an AD for both Honda and Toro. The guy put oil and gas in the Honda and let me try it out, sold! Thanks again for taking the time to help me!

I’m considering buying a Honda HRN mower but see a lot of articles about the motor surging, automatic choke issues, and clogging carburetor jets. Is this engine problematic? I’m not looking to buy a headache
