How to install stuff in ubuntu gnome GUI

Windows Server is a lot closer to regular Windows than Ubuntu Server is to regular Ubuntu.

Automotive AC troubleshooting 101 - help me get started?

If there's factory dye you will see it in the service ports under the cap. Dye rides in the oil. If there is a leak while the system is not running, it is quite possible that only gas will escape. It is legal to use R-134a as a leak testing agent along with a refrigerant detector. It only...

How to install stuff in ubuntu gnome GUI

Since you want desktop stuff like web browsers you should use the Desktop distribution instead of Server. It has a gui software manager built in, though many people use cli anyway to install software.

    1996 Ryobi String Trimmer

Yeah I've had a couple of them absolutely nothing to write home about. It's a rebadged MTD product.

    Information Drought 2012 Nissan Xterra

Have you looked at the manufacturer's website? Almost every product including cars has free pdfs of the owner's manual.

Any BITOGERs have or thought about converting their automatic garage door opener to a side/ wall mount

It looks like it just winds up the spring cables. There is nothing to stop someone pushing the door up from outside to break in. (They would have to lift the whole weight of the door, since the cables would go slack instead of the spring pulling on them). A conventional ceiling-mount opener...

Hit a deer can it be fixed?

Get some prices of used cars the same as yours was. You will need those to argue about the total value.

When parts fall off of a Yugo, do you say that it Balkanized itself?

    Erie Blacked Out Van

If they aren't police, that's bad. If they are part of the new trend to secret police, also bad.

New Jersey tells Tesla: remove super chargers from NJ Turnpike

Tesla knew years ago that they were losing the lease. They had little reason to upgrade the chargers.

Taxes and fees on a two-day compact car rental at SEA airport, over 45 percent taxes/fees of $75 USD

Exactly. "Concession Recovery" and "Facility Charge" might be related to the rent the company pays to the airport. Yes if you want the convenience of renting a car at an airport instead of off-site, that airport will want some of the action. "Energy Recovery" must be the electric bill for the...

New Jersey tells Tesla: remove super chargers from NJ Turnpike

The restaurants, gas stations, etc on the turnpike have a lease contract and when that term is up it can be re-negotiated or canceled. I thought that Tesla had converted all their chargers so they can charge any brand car.

Toro Time master making an awful racket

The blades will bang together if the timing belt is out of time. When one blade is at 12 and 6 o'clock the other one should be exactly at 9 and 3 o'clock. The blades are designed so they only fit onto the spindle in a zero or 180 degree orientation so it is not necessary to re-time when R&R...

    Relabel battery

There may be a true manufacture date or date code stamped into the case itself. The warranty does start at the date of sale, correct?

    Backing into parking spaces

The only signs and marks in a store parking lot that a cop can enforce are the handicap only spaces and possibly the fire lanes. One-way streets have to be legally established as such, there is a lot more to it than putting up a sign.

    Old Briggs recoil spring issue

Grease the end of the shaft where it runs in the bearing. Do not get grease on the ball bearings though as that may prevent them from dropping back to the center to re-engage the starter after the engine stops. Also grease on the coil spring especially if the machine is kept outside.

    YUGO is coming back!

Are those mag wheels stock? To get the base sticker price as low as possible, everything on the original Yugo was optional including interior carpet and door panels.

Engine Oil choices at a Ukrainian version of American Lowe’s

The story that is being told is that the country's military is moving toward a position to get the invaders out, or at least holding their own. How does that conflict with an observation of civilian life in areas away from the front remaining rather normal?

    Backing into parking spaces

In a busy lot if you intend to back in it is likely someone will come up behind you and try to take your space. The only places I've seen signs about must park "head in" are apartments etc. where they issue permit stickers for the back of the car and parking the other way would make it hard to...

Annoyed at my LoadRite boat trailer

You could forget those fittings ever existed and tear down the hub to repack the bearings manually the old-fashioned way. Since you don't put the trailer in water or drive a lot of miles it's not going to need regreasing often, or perhaps ever.
